Faith at the centre

Our approach in supporting prison leavers re-entering into society is focused and personal.

Teachings of Jesus

We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and aim to show his love in everything that we do.

Church

The greatest community of people where you can find connection and healing is the church. We have a network of churches across the Uk who support the vision of this ministry.

Deemed as vulnerable or having challenging behaviour

Our support is for those who are on the margins of society and have little to no connections in the community and are likely to return to prison.

Therapy

Our support begins 3 months prior to their release with participants meeting with a therapist once a week, in a one to one and group sessions.

Through our theory of change, based on a therapeutic person-centred approach, our qualified practitioners who are culturally competent, mentors and counsellors will undergo the work throughout the different stages of the project.

Prison Ministry

Prison ministry is one of the ways we get to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ, through assisting the Chaplaincy teams, we are able to help support the inmates spiritually well-being. We do this by holding church services, which involve worship, preaching and prayer.

Matthew 25:36-40

36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you
visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then
the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we
see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you
drink?38 And when did we see you a stranger and
welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did
we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the
King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to
one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Community

The key to long term change is providing prison leavers with opportunity where they can contribute and know they belong. Prison leavers will be paired with a mentor and attend monthly support group meetings.
